midpipe cat delete will it throw codes?

Just ordered a new axleback and resonated midpipe. So, the stock system, as I understand it, has two catalytic converters, one in the manifold and another in the midpipe. It seems all the sensors are in the manifold part, though. If I replace the midpipe cat with a resonator, will that cause any issues? Anyone here tried this setup before? I'd appreciate any thoughts before I install everything.

Sounds like you're getting ready for some exhaust upgrades!

you're right about how most systems work. your car will definitely get louder and might have a different tone some say more aggressive since there's one less thing muffling the sound.

But just a heads up that removing any catalytic converter is technically not allowed in many places like the US or Canada for street driven cars. if you're okay with that then go ahead with the upgrades!

Swapping out the secondary catalytic converter for a resonator shouldn't set off any codes, since the primary cat takes care of monitoring emissions. Plus, most aftermarket midpipes don't even include that second cat anymore. It should sound fantastic without any problems.
