Been itching to give my Impreza a throatier growl without going full straight pipe drama so a midpipe has been feeling like the sweet spot, wanna do a swap and keep the stock headers and axle back, drop in a resonated aftermarket midpipe, and see if that unlocks a bit more rumble without drone. I dont know but I think this is a worthy cocktail worth trying, what do you guys think before I end up serenading the neighborhood at 6.am

That sounds like a plan! :) That sounds like a good mix, coming from me (someone who likes aftermarket stuff but prefers OEM for some delicate parts). The Impreza can handle it. don't worry. I say go for it!!!

One thing I've learned over the years from other friends' mistakes is to always check before and after whenever you're making changes to the exhaust and always go for something from a reputable brand. The cheap ones are terrible in quality and are nowhere as good as they claim to be. What midpipe are you considering?

Thinking a resonated midpipe swap sounds like a good way to get more growl without drone, does anyone else recommend this setup for an Impreza? How's the sound during early mornings?
