Just picked up a 2020 Impreza 2.0i Premium with about 49k miles on her and it came with a WRX style spoiler on the trunk. I actually like the way it looks but I cant help wondering if its messing with my gas mileage even just a little. The trunk feels a bit heavier when I open it too. Does it make that much of a difference on my MPG and weight distribution?

Im on the proccess of doing so. Just about to empty the first full.honestly, I'll probably just keep an eye on my MPG over the next few tanks and see if there's any noticeable change

Don't worry too much about that spoiler,it's not going to make a huge impact on your MPG. Sure, you might see a slight difference when you're cruising down the highway, but really, it's not something you'll even think about while you're driving day to day. And that extra weight in the trunk? Totally normal! So, how's that first tank of gas treating you?

Yeah, spoilers are mostly for show, not so much for actually helping at regular speeds. And don't worry, almost everyone messes with adding too much weight to their trunk at some point. But, how you drive makes way more impact on gas mileage than any of that stuff anyway.
