I had to sell my Nameless 5" quad, it sounded great outside but was insanely loud inside my base CVT hatch. With low RPMs under load and barely any stock soundproofing, the drone was too much. I've added sound deadening in the spare tire well and even wrapped the tire with blankets. I've heard bed liner or thick trunk carpet helps, are there any other tips that actually work?

I've driven a few cars with aftermarket exhausts and I have to say while there are ways to tone things down, you shouldn't expect the quietest experience in the world. Plus, the CVT is a CVT and unless you go for a transmission swap I doubt you'll manage to eliminate the drone

Adding Dynamat or a similar sound-deadening material to the hatch area, firewall, and floor makes a significant difference. You might also find that putting acoustic foam under the rear seats helps. Plus, if you're looking to cut down on drone, think about using resonated exhaust tips.

Man, your hatch basically turned into a rock concert, it sound deadening, blankets, and carpets help, but at this point, you might need earmuffs or a tiny marching band to compete with that drone
